This is a call to action welcoming VFW Posts throughout the Southern California region – including Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Imperial counties.

Posts interested forming a new Department Charter are advised to follow the procedure outlined below:

Step 1: Propose resolution for discussion at a monthly Post meeting

Step 2: If approved, Commander submits Post Participation Form including:

Meeting minutes validating resolution adopted by membership
Redacted post query from Online Membership System (OMS)
Post Commander’s Attestation

Step 3: Stand by to sign VFW SoCal charter application upon requirements met in Section 501 of the VFW National Bylaws
